I hate driving in the snow, true, but that's only because it's very embarassing to get stuck in a ditch.

But I am a total kid at heart, I guess, and still squeal and call everyone I know the second the first snow falls. I love cleaning off my car and shovelling snow... I even still love PLAYING in the snow!

This week I we were driving through upstate New York, through some (small) mountains. Michael commented on the huge icicles hanging from the rocks, and I said (and I kid you not) "Yummy."Brinnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14587642001220520411noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15056476.post-1134236709441816632005-12-10T10:45:00.000-07:002005-12-10T10:45:00.000-07:00OK, we got like 18 inches of snow in one day--I do...OK, we got like 18 inches of snow in one day--I don't like the snow as much as I thought I did... And it is also a good thing we decided to have two driveways, otherwise we would be parking our cars on the street and then scraping snow off them in the morning--one more reason to not like snow.bionictrouthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10458873711996714215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15056476.post-1134169004074585502005-12-09T15:56:00.000-07:002005-12-09T15:56:00.000-07:00After having lived in Utah and Oregon where the se...After having lived in Utah and Oregon where the seasons are fairly pronounced, I think that I would have to say that seasons are overrated. Summer is the best season. So why not have it all year around?
That being said, there are two things I like about snow. I like the way it makes things monochromatic. And, I like the way everything gets all quiet when it's snowing. Unfortunately, once it actually stops snowing that really only leaves the first one. On the flip side there is an endless list of things I like about sunshine. I vote we get rid of snow, and just keep the pictures.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15056476.post-1134157110563732242005-12-09T12:38:00.000-07:002005-12-09T12:38:00.000-07:00P.S.I agree with Brinna----that picture on your co...P.S.

I agree with Brinna----that picture on your comment is scary, Ben, but waaaaaaaay cool!Shawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04305357810894657905noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15056476.post-1134156995264499992005-12-09T12:36:00.000-07:002005-12-09T12:36:00.000-07:00I guess you know full well how much I LOVE seasons...I guess you know full well how much I LOVE seasons! I was the one in California that would pull up my flowers in the "winter" because they shouldn't be there, and wore "winter" colors all fall and winter also---boy, did I get the stares...

But now, I too, am sitting at home enjoying a total WHITE Christmas outside my window. We have big fluffy flakes, also, and are supposed to get 8 inches! There is nothing more calming and beautiful than an early morning after it has snowed, and I am actually a freaky person, because I love to shovel the snow on those early mornings... Here in San Antonio they canceled all high school events (and mutual activities) tonight because there is a "possibility that roads and bridges might freeze"... people here have no idea what winter is supposed to be like!erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16691044851336560243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15056476.post-1133971236667328962005-12-07T09:00:00.000-07:002005-12-07T09:00:00.000-07:00(Ben, I don't know what that crazy thing is, but i...(Ben, I don't know what that crazy thing is, but it sure is cool)

Yes, my car won't drive in snow... And no matter how many times I tell my kids that, they insist that it's delicious. Zoe said, flat-out, this morning, "That snow looks yummy! When I said that I wasn't going anywhere today, I lied just a little bit because I had to go pick up Mila from school. After getting stuck in my own driveway and sliding down the hill by our house into the intersection, I remembered that I don't like driving in snow.

But otherwise, it rocks.Haileyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09952482356525756638noreply@blogger.com
