Tonight I was reading the twins a book with pictures of all different kinds of animals. As is generally the custom, I pointed to each animal and asked, for example, "What does a lion say?" And the girls made the appropriate animal noise. We went through about ten pages of different animals and they got almost everything right on (although when I asked about the butterfly, Lucy just sang, "Butter-fly, butter-fly!" Could you die?) So then I turned the page and asked, "What does a fox say?" And both in unison, at the top of their lungs, they yelled,
"OH MAN!"
The three of us laughed very hard.
And then, to try and get more laughs, the girls turned to their favorite game of pretending to eat all the animal pictures as I acted shocked and exclaimed, "What? You can't eat a bear! Gross! Stop eating that frog! Yuck!"
See, Self? Sometimes bedtime CAN be fun and funny.

Poor Tip for the Day
I have discovered that all of Lucy's and Lane's dresses from last summer make super stylish shirts this year! Even if you're rich, you can dig it.
You're welcome.
(Also, last year's pants=this year's capri pants. Ta-daaaa!)

My job is always entertaining
From a serious discussion in the back of the car today on the way to see Monsters vs. Aliens, I gleaned the following information:
Mila's favorite actors are Tim Allen and Robin Williams.
Ethan's favorite actor is Ben Stiller.
This was one of those moments where you laugh and cry at the same time.

All the World's a Stage...
What's awesome is that that famous speech is actually from As You Like It. Did you know that? What's even more awesome is that you have the opportunity to see this Shakespearean comedy at the Hale Center Theater Orem from April 10-May 23. Even better, if you go on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday (with a few exceptions*,) you will see me play Celia, the devoted cousin/best friend of the lovelorn, cross-dressing Rosalind. Directed by Chris Clark, there are some fabulous performances, and even the possibility of witnessing a cockfight or bear-baiting in the pre-show. You can purchase tickets online here. Hope to see you there!
*The week of April 27th, I will NOT be performing on Tuesday the 28, but will perform on Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
The week of May 4th, I will NOT be performing on Thursday, May 7, but will be performing on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
