The call is coming from inside the house!

Hey, I have been in a horror movie, apparently. And not a very good one, by the looks of it. So, my brother-in-law instant messaged me the other day, "Nice, Hailey..." I responded with the usual, "Oh great! What have I done now?" He replied most unusually, "Why haven't you ever told us about your horror flick?" I was a little perplexed now, "Jake, please explain..." He instructed me to go to my name on imdb.com where I found, to my surprise, that I had, in fact, played the role of Martha in Urban Legends: Bloody Mary. This discovery was a bit unnerving. Who was this other Hailey Smith, and why was she trying to be me? OR, even more disturbing, what if it was me, and I had no recollection of it? Has anyone ever been abducted by aliens before and forced to make B-horror movies? That would explain a lot, actually, about where they find their bad actors. So, for all I know, I am in Urban Legends: Bloody Mary, and for all I know, it's a delightful little family film for all to enjoy. All I'm sayin' is I better not take any clothing off in it, that's all I'm sayin'. Just FYI, I have submitted a complaint to the lovely people at imdb.com, but they have yet to make any changes, so you can still go to the website and see proof of my horror film debut.

This reminds me, have you ever googled yourself? If not, you should. It's always fun to see what kinds of crazy things you've been up to. Ben found out that he is a women's hockey team coach, a drummer, a man who went on a killing spree, and my personal favorite, a fashion designer. He also found his real self, in a quote from espn.com and as a Provo Linux user (that's my little computer sports geek for you) I appear most often in theater reviews written by the lovely Eric D. Snider (love ya, man), and on horror film webpages (thank you, some crew guy from Urban Legends) I am also a member of various softball and dance teams and win lots of elementary school competitions. What a well-rounded person I am!

Brinna here... I just have to let you know that Maryn and I googled MY name the other day and low and behold, we somehow ended up on Peter Gullerud's website!!! Apparently HE has named one of his cartoon character's after me!
Strange, huh?

Whoa, uh, scary. I will definitely have to check that out. Thanks for stopping by, Brin-ah! Oh, when you googled yourself, was there anything about Bob Newhart? (wink)

Sadly, no Bob Newhart recognition...
I SWEAR IT REALLY HAPPENED!!!!
P.S. You are a fantastic writer... At this rate, EVERYONE'S going to be published before me!
P.P.S I'm coming to Utahrd next week!! Can I hitch a ride to Montana?

OH!
P.P.P.S. FYI your ascending sign is Scorpio... That explains a lot!

Brinna, who are you and what have you done with my sister? Scorpio--wha...? But stranger, can you tell the real Brinna to call me, because if she is, in fact, coming to Zion, I need to get her a ticket to my show!

Ok... So it's a long story having to deal with a long discussion I had with Maryn, I won't bore you with the new agey details... I'll just tell you when I see you!
Anyway, I would love to see your show, but I have no idea about anything about it (I am officially the last one in this family to know anything). I won't be in Utah until late Thursday or early Friday, and I'm leaving with Dad and Maryn for California (and Heather Westover's wedding) the next week. Just let me know!!!!!

The part about being qwuoted on ESPN.com is true, by the way. I am pretty proud of that. (Thank you, Mark Stein, for appreciating true sports commentray when you see it.)

Sorry to break up the brinna-hailey exchange, but I guess this finally explains all the late nights at "Comedy Sportz" (if that's what it's really called) 2 times a week. Man, the Urban Legends production crew was probably hating you having to try to squeeze in your shots in a couple hours twice a week.

The funny thing is that the girl on the cover of the movie kind of looks like you...

The real me is the seventh one down on the list on google. Not too bad.

Clayton, that is so funny that that character has your EXACT name--it makes me want to watch it to see if he acts like you...

And Brinna, I saw Peter's comic strip girl named after you, but I have to point out that she's, ahem, a BLONDE! (And a curvy one at that, so maybe she is you and I combined...)

Man, I don't even come up on the Google search...not cool enough I guess. I do however come up as a Community Health Worker-which is funny because that was my major. Apparetly some other Jennifer Smith is doing a job I may have done one day had I gone into the workforce...scary

WOW. The 1st 2 Google items with my name in them ARE ACTUALLY ME! Wierd. I did not even know ASHA wrote that article about me. And WHY do they keep spelling my name wrong?

Anyway, I have a really odd name, so there is no way I can ever be as well rounded as Hailey is. I will always live in your shadow :)

errr, ahhh, that's on the internet, mind you...

Just a little update--imdb has finally taken some action. Now, I am Hailey Smith (I) and the other chick is Hailey Smith (II)...

Sucka!
