You listened to people, who scared you to death and from my heart...

How about a spooky blog for the Halloween season? So, I have this recurring dream where someone is trying to get into my house. Do you know the dream I'm talking about? Where the intruder is trying to get in and you are running like crazy from door to door, locking each one just before the guy gets there? Only there's like forty doors in the house all of a sudden and so you're like, "Oh crap, the front basement door! Now the back basement door! Aaah! I forgot the secret passage door!" And there's always a few locks that get stuck for whatever reason, so you're trying to get it to turn just as the you hear the guy breathing on the other side! (I guess it can be compared to the chick who always drops her keys when she's trying to unlock her car door in the movies) But I seriously have this dream all the time. So if anyone knows what it could mean, you have to let me know.

Now for the twist. Two night ago when I had this particular dream, there were two interesting guest stars, if you will. First of all, I had a friend with me in the house, helping me lock all the doors. That friend was Ellen Degeneres. That fact in and of itself is not too wierd. I would like to hang out with Ellen, and I bet she'd be a good person to have in a situation like that--she could lighten the mood by telling a joke about door-to-door salesmen or something. As I recall, in my dream she was pretty calm and she seemed to remember all the doors I was forgetting.

As for the intruder, he was none other than 80's pop sensation George Michael. You guys, he was one scary dude! (Not to mention, a very fast runner.) I was so freaked out in my dream because I couldn't believe this guy I was in love with in elementary school wanted to kill me! (Even though I secretly thought he was just dying to get in because he was hot for me, as is usually the case when my vain subconscious is running the show) And I felt kind of cheated, because if George Michael is going to be in my dream, even as a psychopath, couldn't he at least be singing something while he's trying to break in? But no, I didn't even get"Kissing a Fool."

In the end, Ellen and I got all the doors locked and George couldn't get in. So that was good. But I sincerely hope that the next dream I have with Ellen and George is something a little more relaxing, like a tupperware party maybe. Because I really want to get to know those guys!

I never have those kind of dreams! I feel cheated somehow... My dreams are always me trying to get ready to go on stage and people keep INTERRUPTING ME!!!

Oh....and then there's the recurring dream of me on the toilet...in public, of course...

I guess I should be glad that Ellen and George Michael aren't there in that dream...

But then again, maybe I'd have someone to hand me the toilet paper, so I could get OFF THE POT!

Hmmmmmm... Interesting...

I think that dream has something to do with... well... I won't say here, for fear of offending people, but, come on, it seems pretty OBVIOUS...

P.S. I'm glad George Michael is back to haunt you... Or maybe he WASN'T haunting you... Maybe HE was running away from someone ELSE and he just wanted to get in, but you locked him out to face with his OWN demon that most likely did something horrible to him and there you and Ellen were, safe inside while poor George was out there being torn limb from beautiful limb and its all YOUR FAULT. But maybe Ellen knew all along and she really had a personal vendetta against him and she hoodwinked you into thinking he wanted to kill you, but in actuality she just wanted him DEAD!!!!!!!... hmmmmmm... the possibilities are endless...!

My dream was better...I guess?! It was very strange and don't judge me for this, but I was pregnant with Tom Cruise's baby. So weird, right? That doesn't indicate hidden desires of mine either.

As soon as I saw your blog title, I was all a-flutter with excitement. That song is SEXY and I don't care how gay George Michael is, he's a sexy beast as well. Seriously, how could anyone be scary who sings that song? "but remember this every other kiss that you ever have long as we both live..." Hold me.

I remember in grade 7 listening to "I want your sex" and feeling just soooo wicked and daring and secretly thinking George was singing it to me even though I really wasn't quite sure what he meant.

Nothing could ever beat WHAM. "Wake me up before you go go...." those were the days.

What ever happened to those guys anyway?

Kristen, lucky you are not having Tom Cruise's baby...this is what the delivery would entail.

Man, that's some bull crap about not comforting infants. I think being silent it lame too but hey, it is your body, do what you want. But to not nurture an infant is baloney. There are studies that show babies need that at least until they are 3 months before they can cry themselves to sleep.
I hope Katie grows a backbone and decides against that method.

Becky--when I read your post I just nodded and thought, "Ah, unibrain..."

Tom Cruise is crazy. Ben and his buddies at work did some reading up on Scientology and he told me all about it. Alls I can say is that if I ever run into Tom I will tell him he's crazy to his face. And maybe I will throw in that I don't usually like his movies, just for kicks.

Hailey,
It's me, Catherine Sorensen-remember me? I got to your blog from Topher's where I'm a regular lurker. In fact, this is the first comment I've made on any blog ever; but I didn't know how else to reach you. Plus, I have an "on-topic" comment. Do you remember when I had that dream in college that I had married outside of the faith, so the people of Provo had killed my husband and assigned me a new one who then tried to kill me because I didn't like him? I ran to your house in, what was it, Y Terrace, and you were going to let me in, but then your husband said you couldn't go against the church so I was left out in the cold with the killer? Anyway, there's one of my scariest dreams; and you were there. Don't worry, I don't hold it against you that you wouldn't go against your husband even to save my life.

Catherine!! You don't know how many times I wonder to myself, "What happened to my good friend Catherine?" Thank goodness for Chris and his popularity--I'm sure that blog of his is responsible for many reconnections. It was so wierd to go and watch Hamlet and see you up there performing again! Just kidding, I knew it was your sister and you guys aren't twins but I knew she was a Sorensen from the get-go. That is a crazy dream that you had with us in it and I promise I will always open the door to you, but I guess I can't speak for Ben. (Just come when he's not home to play it safe...)

I will e-mail you!
